Hensgens Wins with Innovative Politics

Innovative Was The Game Changer

It was a race they said Bob Hensgens shouldn’t win. He faced an uphill battle according to the initial polls and his opponent’s home base was much larger.

Innovative Politics couldn’t change the population numbers…so we changed the game.

“Bob Hensgens was the underdog. We worked hard to tell his story and define his image,” said Jay Connaughton, Partner at Innovative Advertising. “There were critical differences between Bob and his opponent—more than just their hometowns—and our TV spot and mailers defined the issues and turned this election on its head.”

Every move carefully targeted and timed

Heading into the final few days of the election even longtime Louisiana political reporter John Maginnis described the race as “too close to call”. But Innovative Politics had a plan.

“Our campaign effort was running full throttle. The tea party support was great and direct mail in the final week brought home conservative voters,” said Gordon Reese, Political Director at Innovative Politics. “In typical Innovative-fashion, our mail stood out, grabbed attention and sealed the race for Bob.”

Innovative goes undefeated in last 10 races

Hensgens victory brings Innovative’s string of consecutive election wins to a perfect 10.
